Northwind's Cresta Run de Sud

These are photos taken when they were hours old. Six
puppies, two males and four females. They were born between 5:30
a.m. and 8:15 a.m. on April 10th. It was lucky that they arrived
they did- a mega snowstorm came in 12 hours after they were born
and we lost power for 18 hours. We're out in the courtry, so that
means no water and very little ability to heat. If you're wondering
about the names, I always give them a temporary name until their
new owner decides their permanent name. It also helps me and potential
owners talk about the puppies - I just get mixed up calling them
male one and two. Given the sire's name, the boys are named for
famous painters. The girls are named for spring flowers because
we are getting desperate for spring to arrive. As of this writing,
we still have two feet of snow in the yard!

"da Vinci " is a brindle male. He is Irish marked
- four white feet, white tip to the tail. He has a nice white
neck collar and a blaze on his face. He most likely will be
colored similarly to Brandt and Cresta, perhaps with more
brindling.

"Picasso" is fawn and white. There is a patch of
color on his show side elbow and a little on his side. The
off show side is completely white and there is a bit of color
right on the base of the tail. Nice head markings with a blaze.

"Black eyed Susan" is named because of the tiny
splash of color on her non-show side of her face. From across
the room it almost looks like her eye is open already. She
is brindle with a ton of white - brindle patches on both sides
of her body and a spot on the base of the tail.

"Lily" gets her name because she is primarily white
with a single brindle patch on her non-show side, a patch
at the base of the tail and nice head markings. Shown here
draped over her sister.

"Jasmine" is a very dark Irish marked fawn brindle.
A narrow blaze, four white feet, a white chest and a white
tip on the tail.

"Myrtle" is a fawn with a white collar and no blaze.
She has four white feet, chest and on the tip of her tail. |
