Annabelle was bred to Folly with puppies arriving on September 29, 2007.
Two females.
Here are photos of the puppies just hours old. If you're wondering
about the names, I give them temporary names to keep them straight until
their new owner decides their permanent name. Since Annabelle is from
the deep south of the Carolinas and is a true southern belle, the names
are of the south. Names that are among the most definitively southern
are those that combine two names into a single first name. The “double
name” that is so commonly associated with the South comes from
the southern tradition of naming children after ancestors. Creating
a first name out of two names enables parents to use a single name as
a tribute to both sides of the family.

| Kitzy Jo is a blue brindle split faced female with
color on half the face and both ears. She has a lovely white collar
on her neck, four white feet, a white tip to the tail and a white
blaze on the chest with a couple of colored spots on her head. She
is named asfter Annabelle's sister Kitzy, who is an exquisite blue
brindle bitch that finished easily with three majors - hopefully
a name with good karma. |

| Poetry Sue is a solid red brindle bitch with very
dark brindling. She is Irish marked with a wide white blaze on the
head and chest, a couple of spots on the back of the neck, four
white feet and a white tip to the tail. She looks very much like,
and is named for her grandmother Poetry, who ironically went missing
five years ago to the day on their birthday, September 29th. We
were extrodinarily fortunate to get her back safely, so the name
must be lucky. |
